Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:6-8).
It is important that your thoughts are fixed on the things that pertain to life and righteousness. For the Lord has promised to never leave or forsake us. When we ask, we receive, when we seek, we find, and when we knock the door is made open. Everything we need to receive comes through our connection with Jesus Christ. We must understand that apart from Him, we cannot produce anything. Everything must flow from the conduit of our prayer life. Our connection to our thoughts on Him will produce the spiritual power of a peace that is not ordinary.
You have been chosen for this peace. In every situation, we must pray. Having confidence in God requires multiply occurrences of God answering prayer in your life as you fix your thoughts on what is true. The truth is Jesus. The world manipulated by the devil will work extremely hard to avert your attention on what is not true. Fix your thoughts on truth and you will succeed. If its excellent and worthy of praise, think on it.
