Chris Rock SAVED the Oscars

Oscars producer Will Packer spoke out about Will Smith’s Oscars meltdown and the chaotic aftermath. He said that the slap ‘sucked the life out of that room’ but that Chris Rock’s composure saved the show. Packer also confirmed that Academy officials asked Smith to leave ‘voluntarily’ but he refused. Academy officials were prepared to physically remove Smith, but Packer argued against that option. ‘I was advocating what Rock wanted in that time, which was not to physically remove Will Smith,’ he said. Packer confirmed that LAPD were prepared to arrest Smith on the spot, but Rock asked them not to. This is what Neely Fuller spoke of in his book: The United-Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept Textbook: A Compensatory Counter-Racist Code. Chris Rock was staying on code.

The defenders of Will Smith stating that Will was protecting his black wife are misplaced. They are not consistent with Will Smith’s behavior around white women.

Charlize Theron is very attractive, but is nibbling her neck required for the promotion of your movie? Does this defend your black wife’s honor? It only  perpetuates the black male stereotype. Fight your own and be extremely affectionate to white women in public. As you know, I am all for interracial marriage, but when the man is married, he should keep it professional.

There is a right and wrong way to relate. Chris Rock shuts down a fan who abused Will Smith during his live performance: ‘No no!‘ This black man stays on code and it is well appreciated. Listen to this Scripture verse:

“I say this to your shame. Is there really no one among you wise enough to arbitrate between his brothers? Instead, one brother goes to law against another, and this in front of unbelievers! Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, even against your own brothers” (1 Corinthians 6:5-8)!

Will Smith should learn how to stay on code and people like Tariq Nasheed and Vicki Dillard should not be aligning with Marjorie Taylor Greene and her alpha male response.

God calls us to stay on code in the church. Will Smith’s behavior was not constructive, but glad to see Chris Rock leave a good example for his black daughters.

  1. Will Smith did something else that night! All white men saw that we better never do anything to upset a black man.

    1. This would have been the message, if Will Smith smacked the white man Pablo Motos for which he gave a comment only. No! White men are not put on notice. He only made the block hot for getting off code.

      1. What you missed is that Chris Rock disrespected Jada Pickett Smith he knew she had alopecia, He’s called out Jada for saying she’s boycotting the Oscars in 2016 because it needed to be more diverse and Chris Rock hosted that event and he made in front of Jada on stage. Chris Rock has been divorced for 6 years now due to numerous affairs, he said he was a scum bag. Could it be that Chris is envious of Will and Jada’s marriage? Why does he keep going after Jada? Chris Rock has never insulted any White women but he’s dated White women he generally hides from the public view.

      2. Chris Rock is a comedian and making jokes on people in the front row is customary. Let that sink in.

It has happen to my wife and I at VIP events on the front row and I never once thought to get up and slap the person on stage. Let that sink in.

Chris Rock has made many jokes on white people at his comedy events and the reason why Will Smith is under fire is because assault is unacceptable.

Making excuses for assault and being off code is unacceptable.

  2. Jada Pickett wasn’t present during the 2015 Oscar Award he insulted her when he gook stage. I don’t condone violence, Chris Rock was wrong for disrespecting Jada Picket Smith and Will Smith was wrong for the smack. I did like that Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry as well as Bradly Cooper got up to offer ministry and support. Chris Rock did an excellent job carrying on despite.

  3. Jada Pickett wasn’t present during the 2016 Oscar Award he insulted her when he took the stage and said Jada Pickett was stupid for saying “The Oscars need to be more Diverse” she was boycotting the event. It was Chris Rock’s opening statement in 2016. Well, Chris, it appears that’s what happened was a very diverse ceremony and display of many ethnicities that won the Oscars.

I don’t condone violence, Chris Rock was wrong for disrespecting Jada Picket Smith and Will Smith was wrong for the smack down. Well all know, Black men as a collective group are often very disrespectful towards Black women and nothing is ever said about it. There’s a time and place for things for lewd comments but Chris Rock crossed the line when he insulted Jada on her alopecia. He knew well because he interview a woman who had it for the movie he made called Good Hair!

I did like Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry’s ministry of support and comfort to Will Smith, It was needed at an awkward time. I will say Chris Rock did an excellent job carrying on despite the Oscar Award- smack that will be in the history books.

From the conduct of Chris Rock and Will Smith’s lifestyles, I wouldn’t say they’re born-again Christians. When you’re in the World and your God is money; you act like it.
