Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philipians 4:8). Interracial love thrives in the environment of Godly thought. It sets up the day and directs your steps toward the fulfillment of this self fulfilling prophecy. When you think good things, it becomes your reality. It sounds, a little hokey, but just like worrying over things that have not happened harms the immune system, a true thought life will infuse it.
The placebo affect is real and thinking on the things that produce good fruit will pay far more dividends then spending your time in perpetual worry. This does not mean we should not be informed or fail to plan for pitfalls, it simply means that our thought life should see those things in light of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It means that our destiny is shaped by God and all things work together for our good in Him. It means that our story will turn out differently because we serve the King of kings. When you think on the things that God determines are true, just, pure, lovely, and good your interracial marriage will produce these things and these attributes will shine for others to see your good works and glorify God.
