Abounding Love in Interracial Marriage

Like everything in life there are levels to love. Paul says in Philippians 1:9 “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.” There is no cap on love and the deeper you go in God and your love for Him reaches deeper heights, your capacity for loving your spouse goes deeper. There is a love that connects you so deep that even the slightest changes in your spouse will be felt, it is a spiritual love where God gives you a empathic ability that joins you with your spouse. Your prayers are more effective because you are praying with greater insight. God only knows our hearts and our motives and when we connect with Him God begins to give us the secrets of mens hearts.

We are called as Christians to love our enemies and this behavior is unnatural, however through loving God it becomes natural as God does the empowering. Everything we do must be fed through our Heavenly Father. Listen to Jesus. “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me” (John 15:4). “Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked” (1 John 2:6). How did Jesus walk? “Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does” (John 5:19). We see what Jesus does as it is revealed in Scripture and we do the same things.

Our closeness to Jesus is our responsibility. We must seek His face, pray and read and do what He says within the pages of Scripture. God will then do what He promised. Abounding in love is done through carrying out His Word as close as we can get it. We must be consumed with wanting to please the Lord and the Lord will be consumed with answering our prayers and granting us a greater capacity for abounding in love. Consuming God is consuming love and this love reveals itself in power in our interracial marriage. While one hand cannot clap by itself and your anointing does not make someone around you saved, it places you in a position to have insight that can only be found in the revelation of Jesus Christ. Optimal living is living in-line with the will of God and loving Him with everything you have to offer.

Abounding in love in your interracial marriage is abounding in the love of Jesus Christ. It transfers like nutrients from the umbilical cord from the mother to the baby. You cannot grow without the connection, but unlike the natural cord, the spiritual cord has the ability to grow In size giving you the opportunity to receive more nutrients and more power to love one another.
